  • 2 large Eggs Keep at room temperature for better mixing.
  • 1 cup Pure Maple Syrup Avoid imitation syrup for best flavor.

For the Glaze
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons Milk Adjust for desired consistency.

Equipment

  • 8x8-inch baking dish

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8 inch baking dish by greasing it and lining with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until fully combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs until fluffy, then whisk in maple syrup, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined, careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Give it a little shake to settle.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out using parchment paper and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth. Adjust milk to desired thickness.
  9. Once bars are cool, drizzle the glaze generously over the top and let it set before slicing.
