Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Let butter and eggs reach room temperature for about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time and mix well, then add vanilla essence and beat for 1 minute.
  6. Gently fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  8. Shape the dough into balls about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter and place on prepared baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
  10. Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
