- Begin by melting the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat it in the microwave for 20 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until smooth and glossy, which should take about 1 to 2 minutes. Allow the melted chocolate to cool slightly.
- In a mason jar or an airtight container, add the old-fashioned oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, unsweetened cocoa powder, pure vanilla extract, and your choice of maple syrup or honey. Mix these ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- Pour the cooled melted chocolate into the mixture and stir again until everything is evenly distributed. Ensure there are no lumps.
- Gently fold in the semisweet chocolate chips, distributing them throughout the mixture.
- Seal the jar tightly and place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours, but ideally overnight.
- When you’re ready to enjoy, take them out of the fridge and give them a good stir. Drizzle extra melted chocolate or sprinkle more chocolate chips for indulgence.
