Grilling Instructions
- Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour to prevent burning.
- Preheat your grill to medium heat, around 350°F to 375°F.
- Melt about ¼ cup of butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Place salmon skin-side down on a board and brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the top.
- Lay the soaked cedar plank on the grill grate for 2-3 minutes until it smokes. Place the buttered salmon on the plank, skin-side down and grill for 12-15 minutes.
- During the last 5 minutes, brush honey Dijon glaze over the salmon.
- Check for doneness after 18-20 minutes; internal temperature should be around 145°F.
- Remove the cedar plank with salmon from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
