Cooking Steps
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook for about 7–9 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until it’s fully browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Lower the heat to medium and sprinkle in salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir continuously for another minute.
  3. Spread butter on one side of each slice of thick-cut bread.
  4. Assemble the sandwich with bread, cheese, and seasoned beef, topping with another slice of bread.
  5. Toast the sandwich in the skillet for about 3–4 minutes per side, pressing down gently.
  6. Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, and slice in half before serving.
