Ingredients

For the Beef
  • 1 lb Flank Steak Sliced thin; sirloin or tenderloin can work in a pinch.
For the Vegetables
  • 2 cups Broccoli Florets Swap with bell peppers or snap peas if desired.
  • 4 stalks Green Onions Chives are a nice substitute.
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Opt for low sodium to keep it healthier.
  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce Omit for a vegetarian option.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil Use sparingly due to its strong flavor.
For Coating and Cooking
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch Essential for crispy beef texture.
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil Substitute with canola or peanut oil.
For Flavor
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Adjust for more or less zing.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced to release its flavor.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente, about 6-8 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water, then set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced flank steak with cornstarch and soy sauce. Let marinate for about 10 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the marinated beef in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy, then transfer to a plate.
  4. In the same pan, sauté minced garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the pan, add the cooked noodles, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Toss everything together for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Drizzle with sesame oil, garnish with green onions, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
