Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash about 2-3 ripe bananas until smooth, then stir in the melted butter.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla to the mixture. Stir until well-blended.
- Sprinkle in the baking soda and a pinch of salt, gently folding them into the wet mixture.
- Gradually add the flour, folding it in carefully. Add walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top evenly.
- Bake in the oven for 50-60 minutes. Test for doneness with a toothpick.
- Let the loaf cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
