For the Seasoning
  • 1 packet taco seasoning store-bought or homemade

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by placing 1.5 lbs of boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker, evenly spread out.
  2. Pour 16 oz of your favorite salsa directly over the chicken, then sprinkle taco seasoning generously on top.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 2.5–3 hours.
  4. Once cooked, remove the chicken using tongs and shred it on a cutting board.
  5. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir in 4 oz of cream cheese until fully melted.
  6. Serve your Crockpot Salsa Chicken in tacos, over rice, or as a topping for nachos.
