Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Whip together 4 large eggs and 100 grams of sugar until thick and doubled in volume.
- Sift together 100 grams of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt; fold into the egg mixture.
- Fold in 1 tablespoon of orange zest, 2 tablespoons of orange juice, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Spread the batter into the tray and bake for about 10-12 minutes until golden.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes, then invert onto a towel dusted with powdered sugar and roll it up.
- Whip 200 milliliters of cream with 50 grams of powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Unroll the cake, spread the cream filling evenly, and re-roll without the towel.
- Trim the ends and dust with extra powdered sugar before serving.
