Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and unsalted butter until smooth. Gradually add in sugar, mixing well.
  3. Incorporate eggs one at a time, followed by milk and orange juice, stirring until smooth.
  4. Fold in cake flour mixed with baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add vegetable oil, orange zest, and orange extract.
  5. Pour the batter into prepared pans and bake for 28-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes before inverting onto wire racks to cool completely.
  7. Prepare the frosting by beating softened butter and cream cheese until fluffy. Add vanilla, orange extract, and salt, then mix in powdered sugar.
  8. Once cooled, layer one cake on a serving plate, frost with orange cream cheese frosting, then place the second layer on top and frost the sides.
  9. Refrigerate until ready to serve, allowing to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before slicing.
