Preparation Steps
- Wash 1 pound of fresh strawberries, remove the green tops, and slice them into halves or quarters.
- Rinse about 10 fresh mint leaves and thinly slice half a lemon.
- In a large measuring cup, combine half of the sliced strawberries and mint leaves with 2 tablespoons of simple syrup and muddle for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the muddled mixture into the prepared pitcher using a fine mesh strainer.
- Add 4 cups of white grape juice and the juice of half a lemon into the pitcher, then stir to combine.
- Add the remaining sliced strawberries, lemon slices, and a few whole mint leaves to the pitcher, then refrigerate for 15-30 minutes.
- Just before serving, pour in 2 cups of chilled sparkling water and stir gently.
- Fill individual glasses with ice and ladle the sangria mixture over the top.
