Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by bringing 4 cups of fresh water to a vigorous boil in a medium-sized pot over high heat.
  2. Once the water is boiling, carefully add 1 cup of dandelion leaves and 1 tablespoon of dandelion roots to the pot.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, allowing the mixture to steep for about 15 minutes.
  4. After steeping, remove the pot from heat and carefully strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve.
  5. Pour the strained tea into your favorite mug and add honey or maple syrup and a splash of lemon juice as desired.
  6. For an iced version, let the tea cool and refrigerate until chilled, then serve over ice with a lemon slice.
