Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 3 cans sliced peaches 15 ounces each, drained
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar adjust to taste
Topping
  • 2 cups self-rising flour can substitute with all-purpose flour and baking powder
  • 2 sticks butter 16 tablespoons, melted
Optional for Serving
  • vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drain the sliced peaches and reserve ¼ cup of the peach liquid.
  3. Combine the drained peaches with the reserved liquid in a greased baking dish.
Making the Topping
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine self-rising flour and granulated sugar.
  2. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly.
Assembly
  1. Sprinkle the crumbly topping over the prepared peaches.
  2. Drizzle remaining melted butter and sprinkle the last ¼ cup of sugar over everything.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 1 hour until bubbly and golden-brown.
