Step-by-Step Instructions for English Muffin Breakfast Pizza
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add your breakfast sausage and cook for about 5–7 minutes until browned and fully cooked. Break it into crumbles with a spatula, then remove from skillet, reserving about ¼ cup of drippings.
  2. In the same skillet, whisk 2 tablespoons of flour into the reserved sausage drippings over medium heat for about 5–10 minutes until light golden. Gradually pour in 1 cup of milk while stirring constantly until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Slice English muffins in half and toast them lightly in a toaster or under a broiler for 2–3 minutes until crisp and golden. Remove from heat and place on a baking sheet.
  4. In a non-stick skillet, crack and whisk a few eggs. Pour them into the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally until soft and fluffy. Set aside for assembly.
  5. Preheat your broiler to high. Assemble each muffin half by spooning sausage gravy, followed by scrambled eggs, crumbled sausage, and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
  6. Broil assembled pizzas for 1–2 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Serve hot.
