Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add one finely diced onion and three minced garlic cloves, sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add 1 pound of shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Stir in ¼ cup of chopped fresh basil, a pinch of ground nutmeg, and zest of one lemon. Season with salt and add optional turkey bacon if using.
  5. Transfer the shrimp mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with ½ cup of beef rind crumbs and sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  7. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving and finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
