Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by gathering all your ingredients: canned or frozen corn, mayonnaise, shredded mozzarella cheese, sugar, and seasonings.
  2. If using canned corn, thoroughly drain it in a fine-mesh strainer. If using frozen corn, ensure it’s completely thawed and drained.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine your drained corn with mayonnaise, and gently fold until each kernel is well-coated.
  4. Sprinkle in the sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until evenly distributed.
  5. Gently fold in the shredded mozzarella cheese into your corn mixture.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and swirl it to coat the bottom.
  8. Carefully pour the corn and cheese mixture into the buttered skillet, spreading it evenly.
  9. Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
