- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the cabbage into thick ½ inch slices. Brush both sides with olive oil and arrange on the baking sheet.
- In a bowl, mix the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Add egg if using, and combine well.
- Shape the meat mixture into patties to fit the cabbage slices. Place each patty on a cabbage slice.
- Bake the burgers in the oven for about 25 minutes, until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- If adding cheese, sprinkle it on top after baking and broil for an additional 3-5 minutes until melted.
- Serve the cabbage burgers immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
