Step-by-Step Instructions for Pepperoni Basil Tomato Puffs
- Preheat your oven to 360°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out chilled puff pastry and cut into nine 3-inch squares.
- Place a slice of tomato in the center of each pastry square, topped with pepperoni, parmesan, salt, pepper, and basil.
- Fold the corners of each pastry towards the center and pinch to seal the filling inside.
- Whisk the egg yolk and apply an egg wash to the tops of each puff. Chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
