Step-by-Step Instructions for Pepperoni Basil Tomato Puffs
  1. Preheat your oven to 360°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out chilled puff pastry and cut into nine 3-inch squares.
  3. Place a slice of tomato in the center of each pastry square, topped with pepperoni, parmesan, salt, pepper, and basil.
  4. Fold the corners of each pastry towards the center and pinch to seal the filling inside.
  5. Whisk the egg yolk and apply an egg wash to the tops of each puff. Chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
