Step-by-Step Instructions
- Grease an 8” x 8” casserole dish with cooking oil or butter.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 teaspoon of butter with 2 cups of mini marshmallows for about 40 seconds. Stir until melted.
- Add blue gel food coloring until desired shade, then mix in 2 cups of Rice Krispies. Press into the greased dish to form a layer.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter with remaining marshmallows as before, cover the blue layer with white layer.
- For the red layer, melt 1 teaspoon of butter with 2 cups of marshmallows, mix in red gel food coloring and Rice Krispies.
- Press the red mixture on top of the white layer and sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles.
- Let cool for 30 minutes, then slice into squares.
