- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add unsalted butter. Once melted, add chicken thighs, sear for 6-8 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes. Transfer to a plate to rest.
- Lower heat to medium, pour in whiskey to deglaze, scraping the flavorful bits. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine, and simmer for 3-5 minutes until it thickens.
- Return seared chicken to the skillet, coating each piece with sauce. Cover and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
