  • 1 lb Ground Beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 1 cup Shredded Swiss Cheese Can substitute with mozzarella
  • 4 strips Cooked Bacon Turkey bacon can be used
  • 1 cup Mushrooms Sauté until browned
  • 1 medium Onion Yellow onion works best
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 large Eggs Binds the loaf together
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Use gluten-free if needed
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Can substitute with soy sauce
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Adjust as needed
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley Optional garnish

  • 1 cup Additional Swiss Cheese Sprinkle on top during last 5 minutes of baking
  • 1 cup Sautéed Mushrooms Extra mushrooms for flavor

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a loaf pan or baking sheet with foil.
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and crumble.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the chopped mushrooms for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  4. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  5. Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared baking sheet and shape into a loaf, press Swiss cheese cubes into the center, and top with sautéed mushrooms and crumbled bacon.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serve warm with fresh parsley.
