Preparation Steps
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over low heat. Add shallot and onion, seasoning lightly with salt. Sauté for about 5 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
- Stir in minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until aromatic and lightly golden.
- Add Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and freshly cracked black pepper. Stir well and blend for about 30 seconds.
- Add halved cherry tomatoes and sauté until softened, roughly 3-4 minutes.
- Increase heat to medium, pour in white wine, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Season shrimp and mussels, add to skillet with butter and parsley. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes until shrimp are pink and mussels open.
- Remove seafood, lower heat to low, and combine al dente pasta with sauce in the skillet.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice, then top with seafood, parsley, and a sprinkle of crushed red pepper.
