  • 1 pound Ground Turkey substitute with ground chicken, beef, or lamb
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach can use frozen spinach (thawed and drained)
  • 1 cup Feta Cheese substitute with goat cheese for a different flavor
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped) can use shallots for sweetness
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) can substitute with garlic powder
  • 1 large Egg ground flaxseed mixed with water can be a vegan alternative
  • 1/2 cup Almond Flour coconut flour may be used but adjust the amount
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped fresh spinach, crumbled feta cheese, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, almond flour, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Wet your hands with water and shape the mixture into about four patties, making them approximately ½ inch thick.
  3. In a large non-stick skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat until hot.
  4. Add the patties to the skillet and cook each side for about 5-6 minutes until a golden crust forms.
  5. Check the internal temperature using a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
