  • 1 cup Mushrooms Shiitake and button mushrooms work well.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Ideal for sautéing vegetables.
For Serving
  • 4 cups Steamed White Rice Brown rice, cauliflower rice, or quinoa are alternatives.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and chop your vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Mince garlic and set aside the chopped veggies.
Cooking the Beef
  1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add ground beef, cook until browned. Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar, let simmer.
Sautéing Veggies
  1. In a separate pan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add mushrooms, cook until softened, then add broccoli, bell pepper, and zucchini until tender-crisp.
Assembling the Bowl
  1. Start with rice in each bowl, top with sautéed beef, and veggies, drizzling with remaining sauce if desired.
