- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and lay down sliced onions evenly.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together light brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin, flaky sea salt, ground black pepper, and cinnamon.
- Rinse the baby back ribs under cold water and pat dry. Brush with balsamic glaze and sprinkle half the dry rub on one side.
- Place the ribs on the onion bed and rub remaining spice mixture all over.
- Roast in the oven for 2 1/2 hours, checking occasionally.
- After roasting, brush with strawberry simple syrup and roast for an additional 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and brush again with strawberry barbecue sauce; allow to rest for 15 minutes before serving.
