Dough Preparation
- Mix warm milk, granulated sugar, and active dry yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt, then create a well to add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg.
- Mix until a shaggy dough forms and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
First Rise
- Transfer dough to a greased bowl, cover, and allow to rise for 45 minutes in a warm area.
Filling Preparation
- Cook diced strawberries in a saucepan over medium heat with cornstarch for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and mix in softened cream cheese, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Forming Rolls
- Punch down the risen dough, roll into a large rectangle, and spread the filling evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into individual rolls.
Second Rise
- Cover sliced rolls with a cloth and let rise for another 45 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat oven to 350°F and bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Glazing
- Let rolls cool for 10 minutes and prepare glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls.
