Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the butter.
  2. Once boiling, reduce heat and gradually stir in 1 cup of plain flour until a smooth and thick dough forms. Remove from heat.
  3. Allow the dough to cool for about 4-5 minutes, then mix in 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence until smooth.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and pipe small churro shapes onto baking parchment.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray and transfer churro bites. Lightly brush with melted butter and air fry for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove churro bites and roll in a mixture of 1 cup of white sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder.
