  • 1 cup Mango Puree fresh preferred
  • 1/4 cup Lemon Juice fresh lemons yield best results
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest preferably organic
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar adjust based on sweetness of mangoes
For Serving
  • powdered sugar Powdered Sugar for dusting before serving

Method
 

Crust Preparation
  1. Combine softened butter and granulated sugar in a medium bowl, mixing until creamy.
  2. Gradually add flour, stirring until a crumbly dough forms, then press into the bottom of a greased pan.
Crust Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the crust for 15–20 minutes until lightly golden.
Filling Preparation
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together mango puree, lemon juice, lemon zest, and additional sugar.
Filling Baking
  1. Pour mango mixture over pre-baked crust and return to oven, baking for another 25–30 minutes.
Cooling
  1. Let the mango bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack, then refrigerate for at least an hour.
Serving
  1. Slice into squares or rectangles and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
